Trying a variety of energy options

We should be doing everything possible to develop geothermal energy technologies. This area has not yet been probed very deeply, but it has huge possibilities, as it is available from mother earth. Vast amounts of power are present below the surface crust on which we move and have our being, all we need do is tap into it and control it.

At the Earth’s’ center, the temperature is sixty times more than that of water being boiled and the tremendous heat creates forces that exert themselves only a couple of miles below us. These pressures contain large amounts of free energy and there are tons of heated fluids in the form of magma, which can be seen pouring out of the earth, during a volcanic eruption. These fluids also trickle to the surface as steam and come out from vents.

We could also make these vents and at the same time build appropriate chambers where the magma can be held for later conversion to free energy, which would develop electrical energy to light or heat up our homes. To create a geothermal plant, a well needs to be dug in an area with abundant source of magma or heated fluid, then a pipe has to be used to bring up the fluid on to the surface level to get the required steam power. The steam would be used to generate electricity, using a turbine.

Much denouncement of the process of tapping for geothermic free energy is forestalling any large-scale production. Critics claim that finding the right area for tapping these resources would be too costly as well as time-consuming. Then setting up a geothermic power station is also very costly, with no guarantee of any future profits. It might be found that a geothermal site is ultimately not making adequate steam to make the plant feasible or promising.

Unfortunately we also hear from conservationists who worry that bringing up magma can bring up potentially damaging materials along with it. However the benefits of geothermic energy far outweighs such remarks if only we researched it deeper. The fact is this is the free energy of the Earth herself means it does not produce any pollutants. geo-thermal free energy can be extremely productive and it does not take great efforts to produce it once the site is chosen and the plant set up.

Geo-thermal plants, moreover, do not need to be as large as electric plants, giant dams, or atomic energy facilities – the surroundings would be less disrupted. Needless to say, it is an alternate form of free energy and using it would mean we become that much less dependent on oil and coal. The best logic in the favor of geothermic free energy is that it would not end and its value would not grow with time, since it would be present till the earth exists. The use of geo-thermal free energy would be, in the end, very cheap, after investigation and energy plant building costs are recouped.

If you are looking standard energy products to heat your home then try electric radiant flooring or radiant floor heating systems. and of course one of our favorites is the direct vent gas fireplace.
