Twitter.com has produced quite a media storm recently with a media frenzy of celebrities integrating Twitter on their TV and radio shows , and Internet marketing gurus telling us you can use Twitter to hundreds of fans , the talk about Twitter is hard to avoid . You most likely know people who are on Twitter and your suppliers may have invited you to their Twitter profile . That segues us to our main topic . What are YOU doing about it for yourself?
A lot of people, actually I think most, don’t even “get” Twitter. And that’s partly because it can be many different things to almost as many people. And to some extent, they may even be all true, at least to that person.
Despite what you think of Twitter for yourself, there are opportunities you should deploy and there’s a great FREE training video about that at http://www.TrafficHug.com/twittervideo/ but whatever you do, you should be doing something. The smallest benefit will be extra chances for impressions , ideally with some way of people finding you by your keyword, or your name. Some people will just try to type your name on Twitter and see if you come up.
We have other articles on getting targeted traffic, but let’s look at something we can do in ten minutes We’ll take a more detailed look at conversion tactics but first let’s explore a quick and easy option.
Many people envision Twitter traffic as being an internal affair . A concept most Twitter directories encourage . But in the real Twitter , the advantages of having your existing clients subscribe to you on Twitter are enormous . So valuable that we need to take action today .
A very quick solution is to add a Twitter “badge” to your existing web entities . A badge is just an image stating who you are on Twitter with a link direct to your Twitter page. In the videos I mentioned , you’ll see how , but the badge will get our toe in the water for today .
WHERE CAN I GET MY TWITTER BADGE ?
You can get your own customised Twitter badge at zero cost from this website ;
http://www.TwitterDominator.com/followme_badges.php – Custom Twitter Badge for free .
You paste the HTML in to your site.
It also works on Wordpress blogs. I’ve added them on all my blogs.
It is supplied in its own code block so should integrate happily almost anywhere.
If you create a table or div tag to position it in , then you can just paste the code in easily . With WYSIWYG html editors, there is usually an HTML “object” box you can place in the desired location and just place the code in to that. Adobe Dreamweaver users can just insert an AP Layer (from the insert menu) and then paste the code in to that using the HTML code view pane.
I think you’ll be surprised at the results a simple Twitter badge will bring you. Do it today and wait a few weeks and you should start to see some results.
