The Recommended Skin Care For Men

December 29th, 2008

Gone are the days when men took care of their skin with a bar of soap and water and little else. Times have changed. Unlike bygone days when men suffered from the lack of skin care products, the men’s skin care industry is growing by leaps and bounds even coming close to the level at which women’s skin care is developed and marketed. Today male skin care became the single fastest growing category in the global cosmetics and toiletries industry, posting an 8.7 percent gain, well above the 5.6 percent industry average.

Now, more than ever, men feel that it is crucial to take care of their skin and even became more aware of how he looks and wants to look. Men discovered what women have known all along – that you have got to take care of your skin if you want to look well-groomed. There is nothing to be ashamed of for skin care products no longer considered exclusively feminine to moisturize. In fact manufacturers nowadays are heeding the call with products packaged and marketed specifically for men, including anti-aging skin care and wrinkle treatments that mirror women’s lines. Plus health experts and product manufacturers have produced a wealth of recommendations for keeping skin healthy-looking, particularly when it comes to the face. Their recommendations:

* Keep it clean. Men have about 15 percent oilier skin and significantly larger pores than women. Bluntly put, men just get dirtier. It is important for men to clean their face every day, especially deep cleansing. It keeps pores clear, skin healthy and looking good.

* Cleansing products should be as chemical-free as possible. Deodorant soaps shouldn’t be used on the face. They cleanse with harsh ingredients and leave a detergent film behind. This may irritate the skin and clog pores. Better to go natural.

* A good scrub is good for healthy, clean skin. It removes dead cells and smoothes the surface of the face. Stay away from scrubs that contain rough elements like ground bits of nut or seed extracts. They will tear and damage the skin. A good scrub will invigorate the skin, not hurt it.

* Moisturizing is important. The product with the least amount of chemical additives is the best. For an intensive moisture treatment, men should use pure Vitamin E, or aloe vera oil. Apply the oil directly to the skin. It is a great treatment for under the eyes, which are among the first places to show age (the skin under the eyes secrete no necessary oils on its own).

* Since men are typically outdoors more than women are, they need to use skin care for men products to help reduce the risks associated with too much ultraviolet light.

Manchester and Liverpool are fantastic for retail therapy and eating out.

December 28th, 2008

Liverpool was voted European centre of culture in 2008 and has a history of being one of the United Kingdom’s most vibrant Cities with a huge variety when it comes to shopping and brilliant restaurants. Located in the very heart of Liverpool is Liverpools biggest shopping area, St John’s which is wonderful for those people looking for a great shopping experience. There is also a new large shopping centre the Met Quarter and Liverpool one which is over flowing with anything you could want on a buying expedition.

Manchester restaurants are some of the tastiest in the country, and when it comes to retail therapy you might well be rubbing elbows with WAG’s in the top fashion stores of New Cathedral Street and Exchange Square. The variety of Manchester restaurants is brilliant with fantastic Italian Restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Indian Restaurants, Tai Restaurants and all restaurants in between. The huge Traford Centre is a brilliant area to shop with over 280 shops, 38 restaurants, 20 screen cinema and excellent leisure resources.

There are several flights in and out of Liverpool and Manchester Area making the trip a fast and simple destination to reach and enjoy. Although personally I just hope that the plane has the correct underwater escape lighting.

If you love retail therapy it is worth making a journey to these brilliant cities as they will provide you with a fantastic time out in cities that provide for the discerning shopper. The buildings and history of Liverpool and Manchester is stimulating with many fascinating facts to be found in particular museums and historical tours. And with the Beatles coming out of Liverpool, there are many sites to look out for of musical significance.

I love going to these areas as they are fantastic for ideas and inspiration and even if you just go for a walk round some excellent food and an evenings entertainment you wont be unhappy.

Why Get a 100% Buy To Let Mortgage?

December 28th, 2008

If you think you’ve lost out on the buy to let mortgage mania which swept through the market like a typhoon over the last few years then don’t give up. You can still find a few brokers offering 100% buy to let mortgage deals on the high Street but admittedly they are tougher to seek out these days.

With the housing market taking a serious nosedive over the last 18 months and with things still dropping quite dramatically, now is a desirable time to plan for the next investment. Timing your move properly could lead to making substantial gains in the medium term.

There has been this kind of no holds barred scenario for near on 10 years, at least in the UK. The housing market has seen phenomenal growth which has lulled thousands of people into a false sense of security.

Investors who came to the party a bit late and secured their 100% buy to let mortgage are now feeling the pinch badly. In fact many people are experiencing the awful negative equity situation where their remaining mortgage has a greater value than the value of their property and rental earnings do not cover the mortgage repayments.

For these unfortunates the bubble has well and truly popped! No wonder we are seeing record numbers of repossessions. But this was inevitable. This unprecedented growth could not continue indefinitely and a correction has been likely for some time. Possibly it is one of the reasons we are seeing large numbers of people looking for work doing free online data entry jobs at home. But that’s another story!

It’s favourable news for those of us who are biding our time ready to snap up some fantastic deals which will inevitably come onto the market. In fact for first-time buyers the future is looking quite rosy and we will inevitably see more brokers doing 100% first time mortgages when the market is ready.

So be patient, watch the market like a hawk and make your investment when the time is right. Do it keenly and you’ll be sitting pretty for many moons hence.
